Today I’m thinking of my friend and mentor, Chuck Swindoll, and the profound impact he has not only on my life but also the lives of so many others throughout his ministry. One thing I most admire is the authenticity that defines him. I’ve never had to question his character or his integrity. “What you see is what you get” truly embodies Chuck’s heart—a rare and treasured quality that shapes his faith and influence.
A cherished hymn of his, “God of Grace and God of Glory,” resonates deeply with the heart of our ministry. The final verse captures a prayerful yearning that we all share:
Set our feet on lofty places; gird our lives that they may be
Armored with all Christlike graces in the fight to set men free.
Grant us wisdom, Grant us courage, that we fail not man nor Thee!
These beautiful lyrics by Harry Emerson Fosdick remind us that we are called to sail out of the safe harbor of theory into the challenging yet transformative high seas of real life.
Our sacred mission at Insight for Living is to daily teach God’s inerrant Word . . . equipping and encouraging pastors, families, churches, and children everywhere. We embrace the risks that come with standing for biblical truth in a world that rewards conformity and too often demands compromise.
Your support is integral to continuing this mission, and we are incredibly grateful for you.
We can air our daily broadcast programme for 25 years without replaying Chuck’s messages, which underscores the vast wealth of wisdom and teaching we’re privileged to provide. This gives us great confidence and excitement as we look ahead, knowing that our ministry will continue to influence lives for decades to come.
Thank you for being such an important part of our community. May God richly reward your generosity as we continue this mission together!
Warmly,
Nathan Potts
